Frequently Asked Questions

What is Permanent Cosmetics?
A safe and gentle means of implanting
pigment into the stationary layer of the skin, which adds color to the eyes, brows, or lips.  The procedure will last from 7 to 10 years.  Semi-permanent makeup that only lasts for 2 years is also available.

How much experience do you have?
I have been performing permanent cosmetic procedures for over 10 years.  I work with plastic surgeons, dermatologist, and eye doctors, and spent 2 years as the director of the National Academy of Micropigmentation. Most importantly I have been a makeup artist for over 20 years.  My references
include actresses, models, anchor women, and medical professionals.

 Does it hurt?
My handset method does not require an electric tattoo machine, which tears the dermal tissue, can cause scarring, applies too much pigment, and is very painful. My method is the gentlest means of Micropigmentation available.  Pigment only needs to be implanted as deep as a piece of paper and I have a topical anesthetic ointment to completely numb the area and prevent pain. When the procedure is over, the area will feel similar to a sunburn.

Will I get exactly the look I want?
I understand your concern – this is permanent.  I am a trained makeup artist and am happy to make suggestions about your permanent look.  Please come with your makeup like you want it, and then we will spend as long as necessary analyzing your features and looking through before and after pictures to help you decide what permanent look will be perfect for YOU.

 Do you sterilize your equipment?
Everything I use is completely disposable.  Nothing is ever reused! In addition, I will be wearing sterile surgical gloves, a mask and be working in a completely sterile environment.  There is no safer permanent cosmetic service available.
